Dorian looks for a moment as if he wants to say something to the effect of her comment about the dragons, but he shuts his mouth and listens, following her nod to gaze down into the waters.
"That and forces of nature seem most probable. I wonder if the damage could be repaired." It seems a shame, to him, to see it in such a state.
"In any case, I suppose finding out what the merfolk are up to was the goal. If it leads to answers about the skeleton, all the better. We just have to find some way of asking them. I didn't hear any of the ones in the bay speak, but I know there's a historical basis for it at some point in Thalassa's history. I believe sailors used to trade with them on occasion."
