"They should be worried." Tási's dark eyes are difficult to read, nearly solid black with lids that blink sideways sometimes and up and down other times. She disappears under the water for a moment, reaching for a kelp belt at her waist, and brings up a shard of white bone, offering it open palmed to Billie. Her lips pull downward and there's a clicking sound of her tongue against her teeth. She waits patiently for Billie to take the offered fragment of bone and then speaks again.

"Billie, your cove has lost its power. The deeper is waking and you have trapped it beneath your monster. It will be angry when it breaks free."
