“Something I probably shouldn’t have,” Shura admits, though without any of the potential shame or guilt that maybe should have accompanied a statement like that. But Billie will have to wait a moment for Shura to settle in and get her things dumped here and there before she goes back to the pile of stuff. As soon as she lifts the corner of the blanket, Billie will be treated a cacophony of overexcited growl-barks and the sounds of a little dragon trying to climb up the side of the pen.

“You’re noisy.” An admonishment that falls on deaf ears. Shura waits a moment for Aconite to settle, then picks her up out of the pen, holding her out for Billie to see. It’s a risk to show her like this, but it wasn’t something that could be kept secret for long.
