She pauses to make sure they're truly alone before she speaks again, and she lowers her voice just to be safe. "They controlled our minds. It's only now that they're gone that I can see it. Back then, all I cared about was making Thalassa the most powerful and prestigious city. I joined the war to heal people, but somewhere along the line, my goals became warped to what Logistykon wanted."
