It's probably answer enough that the rat settles back on her haunches and makes a reedy kehehehe noise — very much a laugh of some sort, just not particularly human — at Shura yelling at her lion. It isn't all that off from how it went down back in Didymos, too, if only lacking in birds fighting over that very same hare there.
