"You're right," Strange admits. "And from what I've heard, there wasn't much in the pit those people would need in the first place." Torture pit doesn't require many supplies, just torture things.

By now, one of the crates is unearthed enough that the top is visible. The first crate they manage to unearth is small and about the size of a necklace. Strange is panting as he moves and lifts the crate a bit more out of the sand: physical labor is not his strongest suit, especially when dealing with something in shifting sands.
