Rocket shifts the direction while he tries to process the possibility that the dragons could be back in new bodies. What if they had been reborn as tiny dragons? What if one of the animas or people wandering around with them was one of the dragons? Rocket didn't like for a second the notion that a spirit could be brought back in a different body. It doubly challenged his views by combining resurrection magic with that complicated faith-based idea that his body wasn't his whole self.

Worse it makes him wonder if Lylla's spirit really is inside the otter that acts so much like his old flame.
