He catches it in his arms when the opportune moment comes, but his eyes are on Daenerys the whole time. He stares at her as if she's not real as she rushes up to him, and he takes a few steps closer to her. And then he's setting the thing on the table, and Ghost is standing up to look at Daenerys, and trying to jump on her skirts.
